Cliff notes version:

• secondary unexplained infertility

• 2.5 years TTC

• 2 losses (1 mmc at 12 weeks, 1 ectopic)

• mild endo, both tubes open, no scar tissue or damage from ectopic, no PCOS, very regular cycles with naturally occurring ovulation each month

• no male factor

We’ve tried several rounds of medicated and monitored TI and just finished our first <a href="https://glowing.com/glow-fertility-program">IUI</a> (protocol was Clomid, Follistim, Ovidrel, then progesterone) with two 24mm follicles and 19 million post wash count which failed. I did have a thinner lining at the time of trigger (5.5).

So now it’s time to formulate our game plan for what to do next. Curious to hear how many IUIs women have done before moving on? Especially those with unexplained infertility. Did you do them consecutively or did you take breaks in between?

I’m not sure <a href="https://glowing.com/glow-fertility-program">IVF</a> is something we would do just because of the cost (our insurance does not cover anything related to infertility so everything we do is out of our own pocket) but I also know that if it’s our last option we would likely not be 100% ready to walk away from this process completely. I just know I’ve read so many comments on here about <a href="https://glowing.com/glow-fertility-program">IUI</a> being a waste of time and money and those are 2 things I absolutely do not want to be wasting.
