IVF#2- Metformin and Myoinositol experiences?

Just curious if anyone had experience with these, did you have any luck?

My husband and I went through IVF in 2018 for unexplained infertility. I was 30. I did have a higher AMH but my Dr didn’t seem concerned. I was not diagnosed with PCOS. I was on long Lupron protocol and after retrieval we had a huge fertilization issue (natural not ICSI). I had 29 mature eggs retrieved and they had to do rescue ICSI after zero fertilized, it was so stressful, but we had one perfect little embryo make it to freeze which is my now 13 month old!

We recently decided to get a second opinion before starting IVF #2, we figured it wouldn’t hurt. I just had a feeling that something is going on that is not being addressed. I am 32 now and my husband is almost 43. I had labs updated and they are all look good, except my AMH was 14.55, (was 9 a month later) and fasting glucose just barely elevated at 100. Mind you I think the AMH lab reference is 0.1 - 11 so I don’t think mine is ridiculously high? During our consult, this Dr immediately said he thinks I could have metabolic syndrome and symptoms of PCOS. He said he wouldn’t have put me on Lupron or birth control, but rather an antagonist protocol. He suggests Metformin 2,000 mg per day and recommended Myoinositol. But he also said we could have a sperm issue with not penetrating, He would have to see an updated SA. He also couldn’t believe they didn’t use ICSI as standard protocol. He recommends low carb lifestyle which I have been doing the last couple of months anyhow. I have fairly regular periods, and with the tons of ultrasounds I’ve had, I’ve never been told I have PCOS, just a high reserve. I did have gestational htn when pregnant around the third trimester and was induced at 37 weeks. My baby was also “large for gestation”. I had a great pregnancy though and never really felt bad! I am fairly healthy and exercise regularly, it was kind of shocking yet also relieving to hear this since we’ve been told for years that we are unexplained. I just want to go into IVF #2 more prepared. I’m hopeful these changes will be beneficial. Any experience?Thank you:)
