D&C follow up appointment

It's been 2 weeks since I've miscarried and had my d&c procedure :( with my faith and prayers from the loving people in my life everyday is a little better. With that being said I'm scared to go to my follow up visit in 2 weeks.... Can you please share what to expect? Is there an exam... Does it hurt? I'm so scared my emotions will all come out again as im in the place where I was told our baby had no heart beat.... Please help
