Why is my kid not eating anymore?

He used to eat so much. Now for the past couple weeks he just throws everything on the floor. He’s always whining now too, which he rarely did before. I’m guessing because he’s hungry but he just won’t eat. 
The only time he eats is in the morning. After that, next to nothing. I made him what used to be his favourite last night for dinner(Chicken, mashed potatoes & corn) he just chucked it all on the floor. 
I’m at my wits..I don’t know what to do. 
Anyone else have this problem?

Pretty much same and the molars have all been coming in plus I’ve been less persistent at meals to finish because I think its more important for them to listen to their bodies.  
When they’re hungry they’ll eat right? Just offer nutritious foods , so when they do it’s something good.

Try giving him a spoon and fork? Maybe he doesn't wanna use his hands anymore. My daughter did this and we gave her a spoon now uses one hand to put thing on the spoon then eat them 🤦‍♀️ such a long process

My kid started eating less when his molars were coming in. Also, now they only need about 1,000 calories a day

Toddlers are assholes on power plays.  Just remember, you decide what goes on the play, they decide how much to eat.

My toddler too. She use to eat everything and eat amounts that would surprise me. Now she literally eats a selection of things  , pasta , fries (baked) or rice. She does the same, if I try other food she’s throw it right on the floor and no longer be interested
