When did your LO start sitting in a front facing car seat?

NOT NOT NOT until height or weight limit has maxed out for rear facing. 
Age 2 is the BARE minimum like most states require BUT that doesn’t mean it is safe enough. 
Vertebrae ossification doesn’t happen until age 4/5. 
Also pedis/drs are NOT educated in car seat safety AT ALL. Just cause pedi said ok, does not mean it is safe.

Just after she turned 2. Her pediatrician said it was OK to do so. I would have waited until she was like 4, but our car is small, and my husband is big and tall, so we had to switch her to make more room for him to drive (the opposite side has my 4 month old who obviously needs to be rear facing, so that would give him less leg room on that side too).

First child she was 21 months. We will face our younger child at 2 years old.

There should be normally a indicated line that tells you when they can, like it goes of height, mine has a patch where there is lines that tell you if the shoulders reach here do rear if there shoulders are past that line and up to the taller line than I will change it.

It depends on the type of car seat you have and the laws in your state. I’m currently using a rear facing infant car seat. In Arizona, once they reach a certain size, you’re required to have a convertible seat or booster seat that faces forward. Typically when they’re under 20 lbs and under the age of one year, they rear face. From ages 1-5 years and if they’re under 4’ 9”, they must be front facing. And then after that, they must be in a booster seat until age 8 regardless of size. 
It varies per state as well as which car seat you’re using, as they have weight maximums.

Our first 18m and our second 20 m. We will wait longer with our third probably 3rd birthday. I wouldn’t recommend before that. I’m a hypocrite though.

We bought an expensive 360 carseat that was meant to be rear facing until age 4. Our boy is bow 26 months old and we just turned him to front facing, because he couldn't fit the other way anymore. Dr. gave us his ok.

We did a little after he turned 3 years old. Probably would have longer but we had the car seat out because I had to clean it. So we figured we would just put front facing at that point.

We’re waiting until she hits the weight or height limit. She’s short, so probably not until she reached 50lbs.
