Hi. Ive recently been prescribed lexapro to help manage my depression. The dosage is only 10mg, but I still wanted to know what I should prepare myself for. I know most of the symptoms, but I kinda feel like it’s different to hear side effects from a person who’s taking a medication then it is to hear it from my nurse practitioner. I’ve been super apprehensive about taking medication- mostly due to the cost of it. Part of it is a cultural influence, and family influences too. I’ve decided not to tell anyone I’m gonna start taking meds soon because I know I’d wind up listening to others instead of doing what I feel is best for me. For now, I want to give it a try and see how I’m feeling as time goes on. My therapist fully supports me giving it a try(of course lol) and keeping her updated on my progress. But I digress. What should I anticipate when first taking lexapro? I’m not sure if it sounds odd to ask(I hope it doesn’t lol).
