Anyone transitioned to a toddler bed?

Any suggestions? We have another one due in October and I’m tempted to transition my son to a bed before then.

We transitioned to a twin bed full time in February, my daughter was born in May and I wanted him out of the crib before she was here. Since it was a physically different bed, I started it just for naps at first, then overnight. We kept our routine the same, just started putting him in the other bed (crib is still there for when my daughter is ready to move to that room). We have a stool next to his bed so if he gets out he can get back in, and I just try to make sure there's nothing he can damage or that will hurt him that he can reach on or off the stool. At first we had a rail, but he broke it, so he's been completely free since March. He actually broke it the week my state went into lock down. The first night he got our and ran around his room screaming for 5 or so minutes and then got back into bed on his own, up to his pillow, and passed out. He still does that sometimes, but he's always hated going to sleep

Moved my daughter at 14 months. The bed is so low she couldn’t hurt herself. She fell out twice and just slept on the floor. Falling out is ok it teaches boundaries. We just put soft blanket on the floor. Baby brother is in the crib now.

Following. I really want to switch him to a toddler bed (baby due December), but he won't even sleep in his crib, idk how that'd go 😂

I moved into a new house and transitioned to one with my daughter at the same time. She does  a lot better it was hard  at first to keep  her in her bed but after a few days she did good. Now in the mornings she just  knocks  on her door when she wakes  up and doesn't cry to be let out.

We transitioned about a month ago and I wasn’t sure she was ready but she proved me wrong and did great! There are nights where she has fallen out and slept on the floor for a little or gotten out and slept by the door but the majority of the time she sleeps great in her toddler bed! I have a baby coming in September so that’s why I even tried to transition her so I understand haha. I think it’s just a matter of trying. We went into it with her crib still available if we needed it but we ended up just fully transitioning to a toddler bed. Good luck!
