Did any of you go get induced but weren't dilated at all when you went in for induction? How was your experience?

I had my last ob appointment today and my cervical check was the same as last week, not dilated & 50% effaced. FTM here. Also, my due date was 8/3 getting induced 8/11. Let me know what your experience was like if you went in for induction without being dilated at all.

My water broke and I didn’t have contractions for a couple hours later, but dilation wasn’t progressing at all. I was given Pitocin and ended up dilating to 10 cm, but I got the epidural. I also needed an episiotomy. 😫

I wasn't dilated at all. No signs of labour or anything. 42 weeks and was induced. It went really smoothly. Labour lasted about 5 hours with no issues.

I was a few centimeters dilated. Induced at 37-38 weeks. So most uncomfortable part was laying still because of heart monitors on baby. I was induced for 2 nights and once they manually broke my water my labor jumped fast. Baby was born healthy on the 3rd day. We were so ready to get out of the hospital lol.

My experience wasn’t great but I was induced at 38 weeks. 54 hours of labor, dilated to 10 and then c-section. But...my cousin just went in at 41 weeks, not dilated and had her baby in under 24 hours with no issues. It’s a toss up. Good luck to you!

My water broke at week 37 at 4ambut I wasn’t dilated at all and no contractions. Went to the hospital to be basically induced. They gave me a drug that I can’t remember to help start my dialation. Then I was given a decent amount of pitocen to get contractions started. Was given it around 7am, contractions started at 8:30am. From 8:30-1:30, I made it to a 1... they upped the pitocen again and by 4pm I was a 6. Got an epidural. By 10pm I was a 10. My sons head was too big to fit through my pelvis, so after pushing for 4 hours I was wheeled in for a csection.
