Am I even in love?

Been with my bf for a year now, sometimes I feel like I’m head over heels in love with him & other days I do nothing but question if I really want to be with him. We have split for 6 days before and at first I didn’t miss him so much. Then I fell like my heart was ripping apart. Maybe I missed the familiarity of him. If I was truly in love with him, would I question our relartionship?

You could possibly be in love with the idea of having a partner rather than your partner itself. It’s tricky but I’ve had friends say that they miss having a boyfriend and not the particular person. 
If this is the case then I don’t think it’s love but we don’t know your relationship and we won’t ever know what the connection is like.
