How many sonograms?

So I went for my first appointment and had my first sonogram. Measured 7w5d. Baby had great heartbeat and could even see the little beans heart beating! When asking my doctor when my next ultrasound would be, he said at 22 weeks. Is that normal?!? Like how am I supposed to go 15-16 more weeks without seeing my baby grow? I’m going to go insane.. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Yep sounds about right. Usually its one per trimester unless theres a medical need for more. My first pregnancy i only had 2.

Unless you are at high risk that sounds normal. Plus, I’ve read and heard it can bad for baby to do them frequently.

Yep that’s about right. I’m 32 weeks and I had my first at 8 weeks and my next one at 18 weeks. That’s all I’ve had and probably all will have until I give birth.

I think I had 5 in my first; 1 dating, 1 for the genetic testing, the 20 week anatomy scan, and a late pregnancy one too. I had a 5th because I was late, and they’ll check the integrity of the placenta to see if you need to deliver right away, or if you can wait to go naturally. 
This time my dating, and genetic screening were combined, then I’ll have 1 at 20 weeks. I assume there will be another late one, and any placenta checks, if I’m late again.

Ppl with twins get them every appointment because of the high risk. Haven’t been to the doctor in 6 weeks because I had corona but I did see my babies at 15 weeks at a private sonogram. I’ll be 19 weeks this Wednesday at next

That is completely normal. I did have a lot my first pregnancy but it was because I was high risk. Now that I’m my second pregnancy I think I’ll have more then the first because I’m high risk but I also miscarried

With my first I only had two all pregnancy, around eight weeks to find hb and eighteen weeks for gender.
With my latest I had tons! I’d had a mc between them so had early reassurance scans from high risk dr weekly weeks four through nine. Then high risk did them a few more times, then detailed anatomy scan before they discharged me. Starting week 34 they started weekly measurement scans because I had very high levels of fluid and was always measuring big. After measurement scan at 39 weeks they admitted and induced and he was 10lb 1oz.
Now expecting again I’ve had scans at 5, 6, and 8 weeks due to subchorionic hemorrhage. I have next at 12 weeks with high risk dr. And you better believe I’ll be doing measurement scans later too in case this baby is even bigger lol!
