Breastfeeding and antibiotics??

Does anyone know if it’s safe to take Bactrim while breastfeeding? I just had a csection on Tuesday and they gave me Bactrim because I have a mild fever with some inflammation in my body. I’m pumping and I’m also on pain meds too.

My doctor specifically wouldn’t give me that while breastfeeding. He said More of that goes into your breastmilk than recommended. I would ask if there is another one that you can take. I had frequent UTIs while breastfeeding with my first and took several other antibiotics
