Implantation bleeding question

Hello everyone!

It’s safe to assume that any form of brighter red spotting is not implantation bleeding correct?

I am 9DPO, ovulation confirmed with an opk. Very consistent 28 day cycles. Earlier this afternoon, I had blood tinged CM when I wiped, it was not pink or brown though, it was a brighter red. I went the rest of the day with no CM or blood. Just now, about 9 hours later I had more brighter red blood when I wiped. Due to the brighter red color, would it be safe to assume this is likely pre period spotting or possible my period coming early (it’s supposed to start in 5 days) thanks for any input!

I will also add that my cervix is high but firm. I have no AF or pregnancy symptoms. I tested this morning and it was a BFN on FRER.
