Baby shower?

Question

What’s everyone doing for a baby shower during COVID? My sisters keep asking what I want to do and I don’t really know what to tell them. I’ve heard of people doing online showers (where the presents are shipped to you and you open them up online). My sister also has suggested something outdoors in early October (in Oklahoma) so we can social distance with guests. 
Im really at a loss. Any ideas?

I absolutely hate being the center of attention and did not want a shower so this was my perfect excuse to just not have one at all!!🤣

My friend is sending a card out that says because of Covid we can't have an in person shower but we can still shower me with well wishes,  cards and gifts.

We don’t know what we want to do physically. We are sending out a registry but it is COMPLETELY OPTIONAL. Nothing on it is over $100. We will be handling the most expensive things. I want a baby shower but I don’t want to risk it.

My friends planned a virtual shower. Still not really sure how it all works lol, but I have my registry up and people are already sending me things. I’m just waiting to open everything so I can do it on the zoom or whatever we are using lol. I didn’t want a shower because of everything going on but I’m very appreciative for what they’re trying to do 💙

My partner and I are planning 3 baby showers. 2 virtually and 1 is in person with friends, but more of a mother's blessing as we are all really big on ceremony. We'll have a virtual for my side of the family and 1 for his side of the family because there are just too many people to have it all at once, and everyone speaks different languages so.... this works best for us.

We are doing a drive by shower- 1.5 hour window where I can say hello from a distance exchange treats and gifts then everyone will be safely on their way.

We are doing a drop in/open house type thing outdoors at our house. That way people can stay as little or as long as they feel comfortable and it will limit the number of people here at one time!

I am also in OK. We are doing a traditional baby shower but picked a location that is large so people can be spread out, the town it’s in also just put a mask order in place. I figured people can come if they want... but I sure won’t be mad if they don’t. Its our first baby and I have a job where I’m around lots of people anyways so I haven’t been isolated. I’ll provide a box of masks for those who need them. I just want some sense of normalcy 😞

My mom and MIL are organizing a virtual one for me. Invites are being sent out with registry info (instructions to send gifts to my MIL’s house, where I will open them during the virtual shower), a piece of the guest book to sign and send back, and a Baby Gift Bingo card so they can play along while I open gifts on Zoom. We tried to give guests opportunities to be involved without actually having everyone gather together - I’m just too scared to be around people, and didn’t want everyone to fuss over the details of a full shower.

We are doing a small one with just close family and the coworkers we consider as friends.. basically just people that we have regular contact with anyway. We’re going to do it October 24th and it will be Halloween themed 😊
