Is it normal for 4.5 year old girl to not wipe front to back when she pees?

This is something I’ve gone over with her for over a year and she still doesn’t and she always gets a rash. It’s so annoying I feel like she should be able to remember

Your impatience is going to do nothing but derail her skill building. Shes 4. It takes some kids years to learn to wipe their butts alone properly, let alone to remember and understand how important it is, as a kid with a vagina, to do it front to back. Youre in for a rude awakening if you think parenting is much more than reminding your kids how to be people until they can be people by themselves.

Yes, it’s normal. Even my 7 year old forgets sometimes. Your daughter is only 4.5 years old. She needs to be reminded a lot of the time. Don’t get annoyed with her. That’s just a part of parenting.

Yes. It is easier to wipe the other way and she is only 4.5. Keep patiently reminding her and praise her when she remembers. Also remind her why it is important.
