After 8 weeks when it is a fetus I would call it a baby and alive. Before that it's an embryo and not a baby, but still alive (heart beats at something like week 1 or so? Brain activity starts at the same time if I remember my college bio classes correctly.) before it's an embryo it's a mass of cells, a zygote, and that is not a baby, yet I would still say it is alive because it has moving cell parts that are actively dividing and multiplying turning into an embryo in about 24 to 48 hours. Before that they are just an egg cell and a sperm cell, not a baby, yet still alive and still with a purpose. I am pro-choice, as it's none of my business what anyone else does but me, and this is just my opinion.

It's definitely alive...but I hate when people us that as an excuse to deny women reproductive freedom. I'm TTC but pro choice, all the way!
