Ok ladies,

I’ve been having back pain since Saturday afternoon. Like the kind of back pain where I was in tears all night long and couldn’t move.

I suspected a kidney stone, because I have already had two this pregnancy.

My husband took me to L&D (the ER won’t take you if you’re pregnant at our hospital) Saturday evening and they gave me pain meds, but didn’t do an examination or anything. They tested my urine and it came back normal, but they also said that doesn’t mean it isn’t a kidney stone. There was no doctor on site, just on call. The meds didn’t work so we decided just to go home and wait it out since we had our baby at home (my sister watching him).

Fast forward to today and I’m still in incredible pain. Haven’t slept more than a few hours the past two days. I can barely walk myself to the bathroom and can’t stand up in the shower for more than a minute or two at a time.

The pain is located on my lower right back and goes all the way up to below my shoulder blades. At this point I’m not even sure it’s a kidney stone, but I would like to get checked out by an actual doctor.

What kind of doctor would you go to? A PCP? A urologist? I have no idea. We don’t have a PCP currently either, but I can definitely find one if I need to.

I have a lot of work to get done this week, and since I run a bakery, it’s things I can’t reschedule 🙃 I was hoping to feel better by now, but unfortunately that’s not the case 😫
