Best razors to prevent razor bumps

I always get razor bumps anytime I shave. What are good razors to use to not get these? Or what can I use when I shave?

Answer

Making sure your skin and hair are prepped and soft before you shave is important and can help reduce razor bumps. Shaving after a shower (or, at least after your hair has been in contact with water for at least 5 minutes) is a good idea and shaving with the grain (in the direction your hair grows) is also recommended. You can also use coconut oil to soothe your skin after you shave. Moisturization and a sharp blade that won’t tug your hair are key.  
I tend to buy razors designed for men when shaving my thicker hair, just because they are optimized for close shaves. Gillette is my go-to.
