ISO budgeting and money tracking tips

My boyfriend and I are finally moving in together in mid-December. Now, he’s lived on his own before and I never have. I live in a dorm but my lovely parents finance all parts of my education.

Now, we’re moving to Fort Worth, TX which is kind of $$ and while he has dozens of spreadsheets and apps and whatnot dedicated to tracking money, I have absolutely no Idea what to do. The extent of my budgeting is making a grocery budget for when I live in my dorm.

So please, help a clueless 20 y/o out with the experience you’ve gained in how to successfully manage your money so I don’t put too much responsibility on my S/O. Also, any tips in apartment hunting are also super appreciated.
