BIRTH CONTROL CHEAT SHEET. PLEASE READ.
*you are fully protected on your break week (assuming all previous pills have been taken correctly)
*6+ watery stools in 24 hours counts as a missed pill
*a pill has to be kept down for 4 hours to be totally absorbed (in the event of vomiting)
*a mini pill has no break week
*a combination pill HAS a break week
*mini pill perfect use= within half hour of set time (unless cerzette)
*combo pill perfect use= +/- an hour of set time, any earlier or later decreases protection
* missing a pill puts your protection at 0%
* after a missing/late pill, 7 days of active pills in a row put you back at max protection
*when starting birth control it usually takes 7days to be protected. Every pill is different so only your phamhplet will have a definite answer.
* only two antibiotics that start with R affect the pill. No other antibiotics do.
*your phamhplet will have the best directions on what to do about missing a pill. This is because each pill is different
*grapefruit and st johns wart effect birth controls
*anything that effects your pill will be listed in your phamhplet. Every pill can be different
* irregular bleeding for up to 3 months is totally normal (combo pill, 6 months for the mini pill)
*its advised to not skip more then 3 periods in a row
*to skip a period dont take the break week pills and go straight on to a new pack
