What do you do if you received an invitation in the mail to a wedding, but it was only addressed to your Hubby/Fiancé ?? 
I’ve been engaged with my fiancé and together for over 4 years. The invite only has his name written on it. It’s from a family member.

I wouldn’t be upset, unless the invitation said no plus ones. Usually you just invite who you’re closer to, and expect them to bring their partners, unless it’s a kid friendly type event... then it’s “insert last name” family.

Just ask whether your partner is invited or not. I invited a (not hugely close) friend to my wedding last year and she had to message me to ask if she could bring her partner because I'd completely forgotten she was still with him. And of course I invited him.

I was annoyed when my husband received an invite to a wedding with his name +guest on the envelope. Like these people didn’t know me??!  It’s a little different, but I think it’s rude to not include you!

Does he have a plus one? Have you met the family member? I’d be a little offended, as I think it’s super tacky to not allow plus ones for people in serious relationships. We’re on a tight budget too as weddings are expensive, but we’re still allowing plus ones for everyone in serious relationships, as well as friends who might not know anyone else. As we get RSVPs back we’re then letting other friends know if there’s space for a plus one if they want to bring one. 
My fiancé was invited to a wedding last October by a guy in his marine platoon who he knew decently well (not as friends, but they’d been in the platoon together for a few years and it was a small group) and we assumed it was to both of us, as it just asked how many would be attending. He wrote “2” and sent it back. The groom called a week before the wedding saying there actually wasn’t a plus one spot and they didn’t have space to give him a plus one. The guy claimed he didn’t know my fiancé was even seeing anyone (despite the fact that everyone else in the platoon knew and we’d been engaged longer than the groom had even been dating the girl - I think they were married within a year of meeting). My fiancé was upset, as a bunch of other guys in the platoon got plus ones and were single, didn’t even have girlfriends. One of the single guys told my fiancé he could have his plus one as he wasn’t bringing a date. The groom was kind of annoyed, so honestly I think it might have had something to do with him wanting to make my fiancé mad - I don’t think they actually liked each other, they just worked together. 
But to sum it up lol, yes I think it’s rude to not invite the plus ones if people are in serious relationships.

When my husband and I got married, unless I was inviting a family, the invites said our frequent/ family member + guest. No guest name was listed. He will need to clarify that they are doing plus ones tho.

You arent married yet. So maybe they just put his name and you can come w him. Most people just put the main family members name unless they are married. Then they put Mr & Mrs. You have been together a while so im sure they assume you are coming.

I mean I guess I’d be a little offended but I’d assume you’re his plus one so I wouldn’t stress too much over it. Definitely weird tho..
