Quick question, if you have a baby and the father leaves and is not part of the child’s life because he didn’t want it and couldn’t afford to take care of his child...Now 6 years later, he is back and wants to be part of her life.

Does he have any right to his child? He has not paid any child support but being the biological father can he come back and be a part of her life? Would I need to get the courts involved?

Edit- I am wondering for my brother because the child’s mother will not let him visit his child or have anything to do with his daughter. So I’m actually hoping there’s a way he can right all his wrongs and get to know his daughter and be in her life. He was only 22 at the time and was not ready for a child
