Ladies, I have tested positive for Gardnerella Vaginalis. Aka bacterial vaginosis. Now the question I have is how would I know if I contracted it sexually? It is listed as an STD but also found in women who’ve never had sex so it isn’t always transmitted sexually. The only other time I’ve had BV is when I was pregnant with my exes child and I didn’t come to this conclusion then but he cheated on me around the same time so it was probably considered an STD in that situation. Otherwise I haven’t changed my diet, I don’t douche, I use pads/tampons and I’m not a heavy bleeder. Thoughts?
