okay so my boyfriend and i just got our first house together. he is 21 & i’m 20. we’re first time renters. we have only paid first months rent because we just moved in around the 4th of july so we’re not super sure of our financial status at all times bc we’re still getting the hang of things and figuring out what we can/can’t afford. he pays majority of the bills as he’s a commercial roofer and works 5 days a week. i’m 23 weeks pregnant w our first baby and i work at a hospital but very rarely bc this is my first pregnancy and the virus going around i want to keep me and my baby safe. he works out of town mon-fri. lately when he’s been going out of town he’s been ordering food through doordash and idk how often it is but he’s spending at LEAST $25+ on one nights meal. he told me he had gone to the store to buy food for the week so that he didn’t splurge on doordash then he did... idk how much he actually spends but $25+ is just a rough guess. i know one time he spent $50 on having buffalo wild wings delivered which i think is ridiculous. i don’t tell him how to spend his money and i appreciate that he covers almost everything but w being first time parents AND renters i don’t like that he’s splurging on overpriced food when he can go to the grocery store and spend $40 on groceries for the WEEK instead of one night... we still need a crib, a car seat, a stroller, other little things and i get stressed sometimes w his spending habits. when i brought it up he asked why i was worried about what he’s doing w his money... any suggestions on what to do?
