COVID Protocols?

Question

Hey all! How are you as a mommy handling COVID? Are you limiting you and your child’s exposure to others? I want to socialize my two month old with our loved ones but of course safety trumps my selfish desires. I’m also feeling isolated due to lack of socializing myself. Any advice or tips are so welcome!

We have been socializing with close family members and maybe a couple friends. We don’t let everyone hold baby and practice good hygiene . I was starting to get depressed staying away from family and couldn’t do it anymore. I feel better being around the ones I love. We can’t avoid everyone and everything forever. Hopefully things look up soon with the whole COVID thing but as of now we are trying to live our life as normal as we can with caution. Everyone is different though so do what is best for your family.

We've been socializing, with people we trust. I mean we are looking at possible daycare so she will be around people anyway

We are not letting anyone in the house at the suggestion of our pediatrician, to keep it a clean zone. And if ppl do come over we meet them in our yard where there are already chairs spaced far apart, no one holds baby but my husband and I. I totally hear you on the isolation, I've been trying to have friends over to break that when weather is good to sit outside with but it's hard. But I'm not taking any chances.

Our schedule hasn’t changed at all since baby and since COVID. We still do our grocery shopping together (without masks), my kids started school again 2 weeks ago (we chose in person M-F), my in-laws all flew in from Texas when she was born, and we finally got back to playing baseball. We’re not letting this over dramaticized virus change the way we do things.

We've been socializing with immediate family and close friends. We make sure everybody washes hands and no kissing of the baby but we've also gone out in public a few times.

We have been meeting people outside, they must sanitize their hands, wear a mask and keep baby away from their face. We are also wrapping her up in a blanket that we can remove and wash once she is handed back to us. So far everyone has been great about it. Some family members have even declined or told us they don’t want to hold her which makes things much easier for us.

We’ve been socializing as normal with a newborn 🤷🏼‍♀️ we go out to eat, people come over, we go to friends and family’s house, we took our boat out, we went to a baby shower the other day. We also live in a rural area so I feel safe going out

We do not go out in public. Ever. My parents, siblings, and in-laws come over to see the kids, but generally we are outside playing. They can touch, hug, hold the kids but they have to wash their hands or sanitize them at least before, and they can not do mouth kisses or anything like that.

We have immediate family (parents and siblings) and friend come. However only family is allowed to hold baby. We request everyone that comes in our house to wear a mask and wash their hands (especially if they want to hold the baby).
