Hey ladies,

I’ve been on Prozac for over a year now. It has been very helpful for me but I’m so torn because my husband and I are TTC our first baby now and I have read some scary things about antidepressants during pregnancy.

I tried to just stop cold turkey but I know that was a bad choice and it did not go very well. So I talked to my doctor about it and she switched me to Zoloft. She said that is what they prefer most women take during pregnancy.

I’m just nervous because the bottle says it can cause harm in the third trimester and I feel like I couldn’t forgive myself if I cause harm to our baby.

My husband and my doctor say that it’s still important for me to be healthy but I don’t feel very reassured.

Has anyone taken antidepressants throughout their pregnancy and had a normal pregnancy and healthy baby? I just need some encouragement. All I want is to do the very best thing for my future baby. Thank you all!
