Diaper leaks?

Question

Is leaking a regular thing with cloth diapers? All of my cloth diapers were either given to me or bought very cheap and are very well used. Like most of them aren't of sellable quality, so I assume that's why they haven't worked as well as I'd hoped. But I wanted to ask more experienced moms, is frequent leaking to be expected when cloth diapering?

No leaks for us either.  I’d try something new and/or try stripping them in case they have fabric softener or detergent built up on them causing them to repel instead of absorb.

I see a lot of people say they don’t get leaks, but my diapers leak pee a lot :/ I have to change them like very 1.5 hours so they don’t leak. And they recently started leaking poo in the gussets which didn’t happen before 😩 they’re WeGreeco from amazon and they’re pretty cheap compared to other brands, so maybe that’s why they leak 😕

No.... it’s actually very weird and abnormal for them to leak at all. I would invest in some new ones - try amazon, you can find amazing bundles for cheap!

I've never had leaks. The elastic on yours might need to be replaced. I've got a stack of hand me downs that need new elastic.  I haven't looked into it but there must be a YouTube video on how to do it.

Nope - leaks are either poor fit or not enough absorbency. What kind are you using and what are you boosting them with hun? xx
