When the world is working against you do you keep pushing or eventually look for a better path?

I’m talking like mishap after mishap. Right now friend is trying to camper travel and her car keeps breaking down or some outside force will cause damage to it. Reminds me of my situation couple years ago.

Moved with my SO at the time across the country in my car, got there safely and it was all good. Went to get car checked and apparently it either had little to no oil or none at all and the guys were surprised we made it there in the car. Things went back to normal. Was in a relationship that wasn’t that great but randomly his mental health declined and that started a whole domino effect for me. Suddenly my home life changed as we were living with his family and some patient at the hospital told my now ex that he should break up with me, but some land with her, and live in the middle of butt fuck nowhere. Because of his mental state He listened to her and told his family we were no longer together. I lived in a hotel while waiting for my apartment to be ready, and that time was fine. Come to move in day and my apartment wasn’t ready and movers were expecting me and my hotel was completely booked. Drove around for 8 hours and finally found a place. Then apartment was ready and it was in terrible condition water issue, drugs found in cabinets, water and heater not working so back to hotel after a week of living there. Finally got another apartment and it was good. Then my car started having troubles and apparently where I was at they never get tornados or snow but for the first time in 80 years a tornado went right over my complex and terrible snow storm and was trapped inside for 2 weeks. And my car locks stopped so for about 8 months my passenger side of the car was completely open and I had to unlock my door from the back seat on my side oh and all the popped tires along the way. And the engine failure

Was offered to move back to home state by family and decided I probably should as I had no family in the state I was at. Within the first week of being back, my 2 year old car was failing and the cost of it would be more than what it was worth. Once I got rid of the car, everything started falling in place again. Got a new car, live in a house now, pretty comfortable, and happy. I think sometimes finding a different path is a good option when things are going wrong. It helped me grow and I grew a YT channel because of it but at a certain point enough was enough. My friend is fighting me on this tho and said she’ll reconsider based on what you guys vote.

Basically in 2 months her car has been hit (luckily she wasn’t in it) but she had to pay for repair, her camper has had engine failure 2 times, 6 popped tires, tons of expenses to find hotels, and literally everyday it’s something new and involving road side assistance.
