I just found out one of my best friends had a miscarriage in her second trimester... she already had two completely normal ultrasounds and everything looked great. She went to her 16 week appointment and they could no longer find a heartbeat. It would have been her first baby. I had two early miscarriages before this baby and I remember how nervous I was throughout this entire pregnancy that something would go wrong. I’m devastated for my friend because it took them a long time to get pregnant and she had just announced to everyone. I just wanted to share because it really reminded me how lucky I am to have a healthy baby boy. Also, if anyone has any advice about how to help my friend through her grief I’d really appreciate it.
