First Iron Transfusion

So I just found out last week that my iron count is so low that I need to get iron transfusions to raise my iron count quickly. Im so nervous because 1) I hate needles and 2) I hate IV needles worse than anything. But my mom keeps reassuring me that it won't be that bad and to stay calm when I get it down. But I hate needles to the max, like I freak out with IV needles and I wont even let my doctor prick my finger, I much rather get my blood drawn. But I just need words of encouragement and motivation to get through this and for someone to also to give me their person experience if they've ever had one.
