Does your baby prefer you to other people?

My baby is not more attached to me than others, for example he loves his dad a lot and is just as happy with him as he is with me. He is also pretty flexible about other people holding him, like his grandparents. It makes me a little sad because I feel like we are missing a special bond, maybe because I couldn’t breastfeed.

If you are the primary caretaker, baby will be more attracted to you, but maybe not immediately.
Breastfed babies are really attached to the person which smells like milk and is the only one to ever provide them with sustenance and their favorite comforting object (the nipple). If your baby gets bottles from dad too, and comforting whenever fussy - well then little one has no reason to be more attached to anyone than others! Babies at this point don't even know that you are a different person.
This changes as babies go through developmental phases, later on there will be moments when you probably will wish for your baby to be able to calm down or be comforted in someone else's arms. As soon as they realize that all those big lumps moving around are different people, babies start getting attached to their primary caregivers.
My in laws were really happy that my first child was happy when held by them, and then they got angry with me when she started demanding mom or dad. They thought it was because we didn't visit them enough and baby felt like they were strangers - which is not true but she certainly wasn't as attracted to them as to us. And she still loved being held by them, but when she got fussy she needed her parents for comforting, even though previously she was fine with anyone as long as you rocked her while singing and walking.

My baby is more interactive with me than other people.  She will talk to me, smile and move more for me than for anyone but she also will do it for daddy. 
She's seen my mom 3 times and today was all smiles for her lol at this stage they are pretty flexible about who they like.  Once they get older around 4 months or so you'll really see their preference show. 
It has nothing to do with breast or bottle feeding too. It's about babies natural instincts to get their nearest adult to cuddle, feed and care for them. If you feel your bond isn't strong there's ways to help it. You can do skin to skin,  especially during feedings, talk,  sing and read to baby,  take baths together,  play,  take walks, baby wearing will help too.

I do think my baby has a preference for me, but it is very subtle. She is a social butterfly and has never had a problem going to anyone else. She loves her daddy and sometimes smiles and plays more with him than with me. He's the class clown type so I can't say I'm surprised. She usually doesn't show a preference but she does want me when she's tired or hungry. She seems to calm down and snuggle in a little faster. I think it's good that she doesn't want me exclusively. The more my husband and I cuddle and care for her she will develop a unique bond with each of us.

My first baby HATED everyone apart from me and her dad (she wasn’t breastfeeding) and my second LOVES everyone (is breastfeeding) so I wouldn’t say there is a link!!

Oops. I hit no.   I meant yes!!   I am forever interacting with her.  Talking.  Singing. Coooing. Dancing. Etc on top of the standard - breastfeeding. Snuggles. Burping. Etc.  my husband will take her and do the minimum with her .. he doesn’t feel like he has to be engaging with her 24/7 🙄  she will settle for other people after a bit of. Struggle.   My first baby wouldn’t settle for anyone. Not even my mom - she’s a huge kid/baby fan (she’s a teacher)  was coming to stay with us for a few days (when my first was born) and she showed up- tried to settle baby and could t after hours of her screaming. and my mom was going to leave 😩😩😩 I couldn’t believe it lol. My first baby and she was going to leave (over an hour and half she lives from us)  our second baby is way better lol. Will mostly calm for whoever.  Unless in her witching hour

Sort of? Other people can calm her down just as well, but if I leave the room and come back she’ll start looking around once she hears my voice. I’m the most familiar to her but she’s good with dad and her grandmothers.

My baby is happy as long as she is sitting up looking at the world HATESSSS laying back or having her head up against something she wants to hold it up haha
