Any mamas in here notice a tongue or lip tie ?

My baby is 9 weeks and I am finally thinking she might have one!! I hate Covid because inwiuld have been in the office with the LC and she could see her latch nownInjust wasted so much time and my poor baby isnt getting enough nutrition because she cant eat right 😭 I tried pumping this week three times thatnled to tears becuas eI  get nothing lickily i have a hakaa amd 300oz in the freezer but itnwont last long if I stop bf!!

My son had a tongue tie and the pediatrician clipped it when he was around 3 weeks old.

inthink hers is a lip tie and shes not getting enough nipplw in her mouth because her upper lip doesnt curve but thisnis all freat info it hear an ENT is the best dr to go to i cant wait to see what her peds saysntomorrow

My baby has a tongue tie and 2 different LC’s told us to get it clipped. Our pediatrician wasn’t too concerned, but we were having feeding issues. We went to an ear, nose, throat Dr who said that clipping the tongue tie would have made her feeding worse. I definitely recommend seeing an ENT because clipping tongue ties became a craze, and there’s a lot of misinformed LC’s that still think every tongue tie needs to be fixed. I had to give up breastfeeding because her feeding issues were so bad. Now that she’s really learned how to eat, her tongue tie is not an issue. The ENT told us that eating is not something babies automatically know how to do, it takes time and practice before they become efficient. But with that said, every tongue tie is different and it can definitely effect a baby’s ability to eat.
