Skipped this months period! Am I pregnant?

I had sex July 15 and had my normal heavy period the next day. It’s a month later and I’m a week late to this months period. Is it possible that I had a normal period last month and now I’m pregnant ?

Ovulation needs to occur in order for you to get pregnant and it usually takes place around 10 days after your period, but earlier for those with shorter cycles. If you got your period the day after you had sex, then you’re not pregnant. Sperm can live in the body for 5 days so unless you ovulated the day after your period, you are not pregnant. 
You most likely ovulated later than you thought, which delays your period as it occurs approximately 14 days before your period. If it makes you feel better, then take a test but it seems very unlikely that you are pregnant.
