In my other birth month group for my first child a few of us realized our 17/18m olds are becoming more and more attached to daddy as we are progressing in our second pregnancies. It’s like they know mommy’s time will be very divided soon so might as well let daddy be the comforter and soother.

Maybe it’s a coincidence and just a developmental stage? Maybe the older siblings have a sense something is coming/changing as we nest and discuss new babies arrival?

Our boy is almost 18m and understands a lot but doesn’t speak. He’s not really able to comprehend that a baby brother is arriving soon. But he’s totally become a Daddy’s boy over the last 2 months or so.
