Split tongue/tongue tie?

I noticed when my daughter was born that the tip of her tongue seemed split. She’s almost 4 months old now and has had no problems nursing. However, my supply is decreasing and my nipples have a lipstick shape after nursing (I read this can happen with tongue tie). She’s a happy baby but I’m just curious what it could be.

If you are not sure I would talk to your pediatrician. If they say yes to tongue tie then I would have your pediatrician recommend you to a pediatric dentist/ specialist. Our son had a lip tie, tongue tie and check tie. The specialist was awesome explained everything to us and our son got everything corrected with a laser. (Literally took in 5 mins and he didn’t bleed at all). I also spoke to a friend who is a speech language pathologist and she said the sooner to get it corrected the better so it won’t impact their speech. Our son had it done at 3 weeks old. But in my option from what I can see it does look like a tongue tie. Our sons tongue looked like a heart when he was born. Good luck! I hope everything works out 😊

Looks like a tongue tie. The heart shaped tip is a sure sign. Go to a pediatric ENT for a confirmation.
