Anyone else not want to be induced??

Edit*** Thank you ladies for sharing all your stories with me I really appreciate you all 💕 FTM and I feel like I’m going crazy... I’m 38 weeks today and scheduled my induction a week AFTER my due date... I really want to go on my own naturally, but everyone’s posts are making me think I made the wrong decision. Anyone else out there that doesn’t want to be induced? (Also I have nothing against getting induced, you do you girl!)

I definitely don't want to be induced - it seems like it's such a hit or miss process that half the time ends up with a c section (purely my perception, no idea what the actual stats are).    My personal view is your body will know when it's time for the baby to exit so unless there's a medical issue (like pre-eclampsia), just let it happen naturally.

I’m getting induced Monday and have watched a bunch of videos so it doesn’t seem as scary and hit or miss as I used to see it. I’m kind of relieved that I get to plan everything out and have a set time and not have to hope I can reach someone to watch my toddler at 3am or anything crazy like that. Can just have everything set up now and show up and get comfy and ready for baby

I hope however it happens you and baby are healthy at the end of the day. 
Just to add a positive experience to the mix- I was induced at 40w with my first due to less movement and nst where he wouldn’t move around enough to get the higher heart rates they wanted.  My induction went really well!! My body responded well to the meds and it was sort of it’s own kickstart for me. My water broke naturally about 12-14 hrs after the first meds and I didn’t need pitocin until the last little bit to keep the contractions going strong so I could start pushing. All in all it was just over 24hrs and I had a healthy happy baby boy!

I had to BEG to let them allow me to go longer with my first one because I didn't want to induce - ended up getting one at just before 42 weeks because she would.not.come.

If he doesn’t come on his own I’ll be induced at 39 weeks because of GD. I’m REALLY hoping he comes by himself but if it has to be done it has to be done. But I’d prefer to go naturally if I could.

I’m being induced on the 31/08 if baby hasn’t arrived by then, I am scared. I was induced with my first because I wasn’t contracting after my water broke. I’m actually feeling tightness this time tho so I’m hoping it’ll happen before then. Being induced hurt so much & I’ve read the contractions are more painful! I just want my body to work itself before then.

I also really don’t want to be induced. Currently walking to try and speed things up. My doctor wants to talk about an induction date at my appointment on Tuesday.

I’m getting induced at 39 weeks, FTM

I didn’t want to be induced and I’m now 37 weeks pregnant. Well I will be tomorrow, if I hadn’t gotten gestational diabetes and wasn’t high risk I would want baby girl to come on her own. However, that’s not a choice for me any longer. Baby is transverse and breeched and I do have a c-section scheduled for 39 weeks 3 days. Labor Day kind of messed up that time line. 
The reason I did not want to get induced is because of a few friends of mine and their experiences and reading these posts of botched inductions. I’m like that is gonna happen to me knowing my luck. Lol. 
I hope all being induced it’s a positive experience.

I really wanted to avoid it with my first. I was scheduled to be induced a week after my due date. Luckily my son decided to come on his own a couple days before the induction date!
My only advice is to go for walks as much as you can. Sit on an exercise ball and do some bouncing and hip rotation. I drank red raspberry leaf tea every day and ate dates. Not sure if that helped but it didn’t hurt! 
I am getting a c section this time, which wasn’t my ideal birth plan but I am so thankful for this option because ultimately I just want a healthy baby safely in my arms at the end of all this. 
But I do believe that there is so much benefit in allowing your hormones to do their thing.
