If you had a planned induction, did you do your hair and makeup before you left to the hospital? If you are being induced will you be?

I’ve just done my hair in a protective style so I don’t have to worry about it. My first birth I looked like trash 😂 my hair was frizzy for a good two weeks and I have curls so it was not cute.

I did my hair and light makeup. I wanted to enjoy one more shower in peace😂

Yeah I did... but I didn’t make much effort though really and now looking back I wish I had... I look so awful in all of the pictures :,) I had an emergency c section with my first though so I didn’t sweat :,) (no mascara run) just so what makes you comfortable ☺️ xx

Def shower & do hair. I had a protective style so that I didn’t have to do my hair the first 6 weeks baby was born and will be doing the same this time.

I would recommend pulling your hair back/styling it so it’ll stay out of your face. If you want to do makeup, I would recommend only light makeup and waterproof eyeliner & mascara. 
I looked like a hot mess after having my first - granted, I went without the epidural or any pain killers. 
My close friend was induced with her first. She had an epidural. But the induction process took longer than she was expecting and she ended up sleeping through most of the first night before she was dilated enough to begin pushing.  
You just never know how it’s going to go. Do what makes you feel good, but just know that labor can mess it all up

I showered beforehand. I wanted to feel good and ready. The thing about induction is you don't know how long it'll last. From the start of my induction to when I had my baby was 29 hours and 15 minutes. I wouldn't have wanted makeup on that long. Plus you get hot and sweaty during contractions and pushing.

So far I'm not being induced but if they were to tell me I was...I dont think I would do my hair or makeup. I would still be trying to deliver without an epidural and highly doubt my makeup would hold up through the sweat and tears.
