Allergic Reaction to Lube

So my boyfriend and I were having sexual today and he grab a lube that I have never used before. The second it touched my skin it felt hot and then when he put his penis in and the lube went inside me, it felt like I was burning. Like probably the worst pain I’ve ever felt and I was almost in tears.

I quickly got in the shower and washed it off with just water.

Is this a normal reaction to have to lube if you are allergic to it? I’m just wondering because my friends have never experienced it. We didn’t switch condos brands or anything else. I’m just wondering if this has happened to someone else before.
