Yes but I'm pretty sure my idea of family is different than yours. I wouldn't try to break up his relationship or get in the way but I would still want him to be a good father to our children. When I felt they'd been together long enough and I approved of how she treated him, I'd start including her in invitations to family functions and outings. 
If someone doesn't want to be with me, I'm not going to beg or sabotage them.

Absolutely not. My SO’s ex actually broke up with him when she was 5 months pregnant. He’d go to her OB appointments and she wouldn’t even sit next to him in the waiting room.  She’d text him the date and time if the appointment as well as a reminder to stay on “his” side of the room. But as soon as she found out we were dating she started guilting him about leaving his “family” and calling me a home wrecker. She had all sort of antics to get him to come back, including fake labor.

Nah that’s a really muggy and selfish thing to do in my opinion. I agree with other commenters you’re obviously not together for a reason no point in ruining a good relationship for something that’s been tried and tested and didn’t work out.

My husbands ex tried this 😔 
When I met my husband we were really hitting it off and I was falling for him. After several months of dating I met his son and his ex. He was very honest with me that shortly after meeting me his ex reached out to him and asked him to try to work things out one more time, to be a family. He politely declined the offer and stayed with me. We are 10 years going strong. We have a wonderful relationship with her and her family. She is also currently married and even has another child with her now husband. Things are good for both sides 💜 I promise you don’t have to stay with an ex to be happy
