My ex is a heroin addict (claims to be clean but I know better) that’s why we broke up, can’t trust him and he straight up stole my money. I was being his friend for a while after and he had a girlfriend but would always tell me she’s just a placeholder until you come back, this relationship is a sham blah blah.... so I broke off the friendship because I’m not that female. Could I have him back yes I’m sure I could, do I want him back? Fuck no.

A lot of people really like me... 
And yes at least one of my ex's would come back to me out of his relationship if I showed interest in being together. I'm relatively sure of it- but he's not happy in his relationship & has suggested us getting back together multiple times over the years & I think he would probably cheat on his partner with me- but I would never do that & am not attracted to him like that anymore. He was awful to me when we dated- and he was hanging out with her and ignoring me for up to a week when we actually dated. And I might even like her a bit better than him sometimes lol. 
Other ex's of mine would absolutely not leave a relationship to date me again. Which is absolutely the right decision for anyone in an official relationship. Deal with the relationship you are actually in independently of interference from others.

LOL nope. Why would anyone want to do that?  I mean you broke up for a reason. I feel like in most cases, wanting to get back with an ex is a dependency or control thing.
