Induction confusion
Is it true they can’t induce if baby isn’t engaged?? I’ve never heard of this. This is my 4th baby and as far as I know it’s common for subsequent babies to not engage until active labor.
At cervical checks Im dilated and effacing but baby isn’t engaging. Dr wants to induce at 39 weeks for a multitude of reasons (no judgment there are past medical reasons), but she said if he isn’t engaged she can’t. That seems to contradict her reasoning for inducing - if she feels it’s medically necessary I feel like there must be other ways than just breaking my water?
Or is it just automatically a c-section? That just feel wrong to me like I’m missing something....
