Looking for a job around 25 weeks

Li

I am currently pregnant with my second baby, due 4/14/21. I will be finishing up my degree in December and was planning on looking for jobs in my field starting in January, but I’ll be more than halfway along by then and most likely will be showing. I have a feeling no one would hire me if they knew. I know they legally can’t discriminate against me for being pregnant, but they would come up with some other reason like lack of experience just because they don’t want to hire someone who will be leaving for maternity leave in a couple of months.

However, I did just come to the realization that I will have an advantage. My interviews would most likely be over webcam because of Covid, so they won’t be able to see that I’m pregnant. But I still feel weird accepting a job and then showing up my first day noticeably pregnant and just being like “so yeah, this is happening.” Something about it feels...shady. I know I don’t have to disclose anything to them, but it makes me feel anxious to think about potentially deceiving a job that way. The work I would be doing would be almost always sitting at a desk, so being pregnant wouldn’t affect my work other than the fact that I would be going on maternity leave in April.

So I was just kind of wondering what everyone else thinks. Would you tell them up front and risk not getting the job or keep it to yourself and then kind of just deal with potential awkwardness later?
