Baby girl ear piercing ?

For those of you who have little girls , did you get her ears pierced as a baby ? How old ?

Please wait till they can go to a piercing shop and not Claire's or somewhere like that. The gun can never be properly sterilized and it causes trauma to the earlobe cause you're just shoving an earring in with lots of force. A piercing needle is the cleanest and safest to get pierced with. (Plus at Claire's the 19 year old girl doing them isn't lisenced vs a piercer at a shop is)

I know I’m late but hopefully my comment could still be helpful ! I recently just got my daughter ears pierced at 8 months. I actually took her to a piercing shop where I normally get my piercings done. My piercer, pierce baby ears too, I believe 4 months and up. She also doesn’t use a piercing gun and it only costed me $30 !

I’ll let her decide if she wants them pierced or not. Most people get them done at the doctor’s office nowadays

I am waiting until she asks for them AND is old enough to clean them. My mom didn't let me get them until I was 9 (even though I asked for them before then). Before agreeing, she explained to me that I had to take care of them and clean them, and the consequences of not doing so. I'm 37 now and never wear earrings - mostly because it's so hard to find ones that don't irritate my ears.

My parents got my ears pierced when I was 5 or 6 years old. I was excited only on day one... After that I hated them. At 12 I took my earrings out and never wore any again. I’m 35 now, and have small scars where the holes were. 
And if I have a baby girl, I will let here decide whether to get her ears pierced when she’s a teenager.

I did both of my girls around 9 months. They cried for 30 seconds. They’re 2 & 4 now and we change earrings everyday to match their outfits. They love them. Went to Claire’s.

I didn’t I’m gonna wait til she asks for them so I don’t waste the time and money if she’s never gonna wear them lol. But my cousins got theirs at like 2/3 months. And a friend of mine did it at about a year. Best to do it when they can’t pull on them
