Is anyone on here taking metformin while ttc??? How do you get past the side affect of diaherrea???

I am not on metformin but I do have pcos. I have heard a few things regarding diarrhea. So first, ask your doctor about working up to higher doses. Start with a small dose for a couple weeks and then gradually increase to the dose they want you on. Definitely dont do this without doctor supervision though. I’ve also heard that cutting out carbs/sugar helps with the diarrhea. Good luck! There are some good groups on here for women with pcos. Look into the medically assisted fertility group! It’s the best!

I was lucky enough not to get any bad side effects but I’ve seen lots of women in this community who have said that the horrible side effects do start to pass after a while. Try to avoid carbs and sugary foods if you can while you adjust, and try to always take your tablet after food. Good luck hun I really hope it works for you x

All I had taking this was nausea an vomiting not diarrhea.
