I called my insurance in the off chance I was covered for better care and it turns out I am! My previous nurse practioner refused to see me until 8 weeks, even to confirm pregnancy. I have catastrophic coverage until the new year and full maternal care is covered but only when pregnancy is established. That office was being a real jerk to me all around. Very rude and unhelpful.

I saw this new dr within an hour of calling had urine and blood testing done immediately and I'm scheduled to go back Thursday for my first ultrasound.

This high risk momma is feeling soooo much more positive about the possibility of keeping this pregnancy =)
