Circumsision?

Any bad experiences with circumsision? Regrets? Are you happy with the decision you made? I'm having my first boy in October and I'm still not sure what to decide. Please no rude comments..

This question has been asked too many times, do your own research, talk to your pediatrician and make the decision based on what YOU feel is right for YOUR KID.
No one here can tell you. I did with my sons and I don’t regret it and anyone that doesn’t like it can suck ass, not their kids not their problem.

So here’s the deal, circumcision has become very controversial recently. Everyone has their own views on it and regardless of your request, people will get nasty about this topic.
We chose to have our son circumcised at birth. I let my husband make the final decision because he has a penis. Turns out, our son actually has a double ureter and having him circumcised will reduce his risk for reoccurring UTI’s we didn’t know about the extra ureter until he was five months old. So we didn’t have to put him through that when he was older and more aware of what was happening. I don’t know any adult man who is currently circumcised that wishes they hadn’t been or that would have chosen to have it done as an adult if it wasn’t already done.

This is a very important decision. I went back and fourth for months. We ultimately decided to leave him intact. The reasons we decided to leave him as is is because 1: it’s a cosmetic procedure 2: my husband didn’t care that “his penis didn’t match his sons” 3: there is a small increased chance of sids in circumcised boys 4: we are not religious so no religious reason to do one.

I had it done for my son.
He’s 10 now.
It was a quick procedure, he healed quickly.
I don’t regret my choice.
My son has never had an issue or concern with his penis.

We circumcised our 2 boys and it was fine. No regrets. I agree though that this forum tends to get very heated and exaggerated on both sides with this topic, though, so be forewarned lol. I really think that either decision you make, your baby will be fine.

Had my son circumcised. No problem and quick, happy we did. I work in a hospital and you have to keep it clean when older. I see these elderly pts with uti’s and when we pull the foreskin back to clean it is usually 95% filthy and smells horrendous from not cleaning when they get elderly. Everyone has a different opinion, do your research.

We left our son intact.  No regrets,  no issues.  Do research on both sides.. after looking deeper into it,  we decided the isnt enough evidence for it tho be done routinely.. European countries and South American and Asian countries leave their boys alone and they have no issues.. seems to be mostly an American or religious  thing to have done..

My boys have theirs done and I’ve assisted in many. My stepson had reoccurring infections (he was uncircumcised) to the point where we finally had to get it done when he was older (I sure the fuck don’t advise that, it sucks) this baby will have his done as well. My advice is to speak to a urologist about this decision. Like a pediatric urologist. Speak to your husband about it. Here you are going to get a shit ton of reviews about people who have done lots of googling but haven’t spoken with an actual physician who specializes in these sorts of things. I had a friend tell me I was a monster because they cut the whole tip of the penis off........ not correct btw 😂 you have plenty of time. Make the best decision for you and your family.

My husband decided. He has a no Enid so he would know what was best. Both of our boys don’t have it done and they are fine ages 11 and 9. And future boys born from me won’t be getting it.
