Will depends catch everything when my water breaks?

I always think about this. Like if I'm sitting on my couch or in my brand new car and my water breaks, I don't want to ruin whatever im sitting on/standing over. It's just gross to me. Can I use depends, the diaper things for incontinent people? Has anyone used them in the days leading up to their due date and did it catch everything?
The thought that it could happen, just freaks me out. Does anyone sleep on puppy potty pads? Lol I know it sounds silly, bug I've got a serious paranoia about it

Most people's waters don't actually break i wouldn't worry too much

For most women it's not a dramatic gush like you see in the movies. My ob said 70% of women have their water broken at the hospital.

I was induced at 42 weeks and they had to break my water for me. It might not even happen, but if you want to wear diapers go ahead lol. Maybe just sit on a towel or something. It's not like in the movies lol

I'm getting chucks pads (like puppy potty pads) to put on my mattress and in the car just in case. I've heard that when your water breaks sometimes it leaves an odor in fabric so now I'm freaked out about it!

Is water,is not pee or something nasty,is just water lol,when i had my son,I found out my water bag broke cause I felt like I peed a little bit on my underwear while i was sleeping in the couch so I went to the restroom and sat on the toilet and holy cow the water wouldn't stop so I woke my husband up and passed out,sooo dramatic lol

Mine was a huge gush and kept coming...I worse pads I bought for after birth bed was soaking when I got to the hospital. I had my husband put a towel down in the car for me to sit on. I was so glad I was in flip flops...it was running down my legs too. I just kept coming! Lol

I was having contractions for hours before my waters broke, I'd also had some spotting so I was wearing a really thick pad. I was beating in mind that my waters could break at any moment and the only thing that calmed me through contractions was leaning against my bed, knelt on the floor, I put a big cushion underneath me - 1, because our bedroom floor was natural floor boards and I didn't want my waters dribbling down the cracks!!! And 2. Because it was more comfortable for my knees! Anyway, when my waters did break, and it was all of it, not just a trickle, the thick pad I had on did catch it all, none whatsoever went on the cushion (or floorboards)! I just ran to the loo and whipped it off straight away.
