How much breast milk baby needs????

My LO is two months old. I’m exclusively pumping because she didn’t latch. While bottle feeding baby, what is the best way to know how much she needs in each feeding without wasting breastmilk? When i put less in bottle depending on what she took in last feeding, she seems to have more, and when i put more in bottle for next feeding, she doesn’t finish it & whats left in bottle gets wasted. First time mommy!

My breastfed baby just started daycare so I’m pumping now too. He seems to be satisfied with 4oz approx every 2.5 hours. He’s also nursing that often at home. He’s 4mo old and still using size 1 nipple

It’s normal for volumes to fluctuate a bit between feedings. Try storing it in smaller amounts so you can always offer more if needed.
