What color scheme

Question

We are going with this color carpet in the living room. What colors should we paint the wall as . It’s a smaller space so I want to kind of paint it a lighter color to make it appear bigger. What color trim and front door? Any suggestions . Not the best with this stuff . Color of carpet in pictures and picture of living room below (redoing it sorry for mess)

The carpet is like a grey color with like mustardy brown speckles... 🤔 well firstly, always do trim white. Like a crisp stark white. Pretty sure there’s also specific trim/door paint that’s oil based and keeps a glossy finish. For the walls you could do an eggshell white color or a grey/beige color. My walls are Agreeable Grey by Sherwin Williams, with white trim (forgot the name). For front doors, it depends. Most of the time, the inside of the front door is the same color as the trim around it, so white. And then the outside part of the door is a complementary color for the outside of the home. With my house, the outside of the front door is the same color as my garage door and trim.
