Why tf does he do that?

Example-

Me: That’s magenta

Him: No it’s not.

....

Him: It’s more of a purple red. It’s magenta.

He does this with EVERYTHING even if it doesn’t matter and it pisses me off. I just walk away or tell him I’ll text him some other time. Why does he have to keep doing this??? I have brought up this problem 2 times this month so far and I think that’s more than enough. It’s a throughout calm conversation about how his behavior makes me feel, how it seems he is being, how wrong it is overall, how condescending it is, how he should never do it again and I do not want it to happen again. Yet here he is doing this once more.

I make sure he actually understands my side and he repeats what I said in his own words and apologizes and tells me it wont happen again but then he does it with random things like I just explained. Sometimes it’s about serious things but lately it’s stupid shit like things I just saw with my own eyes or my own story/experience.

Does he have some psychological issues??? What is going on? Is this some toxic abuse thing??? I’m thinking this is something like mansplaining but right now it just feels like abuse.
