I started at 7 weeks also. I also bleed for the first 5 weeks pp, had a week off, then back to it the next week. Boy did I not miss that

I stopped bleeding at 3 weeks and have been EBF. I started the mini pill at 5.5 weeks had a horrible period week7-8.

If the doc cleared you, yes tampons are OK. But, things are not yet completely back to normal since that takes months, so be careful, it might not be comfortable.
